Firewood at Mount Nemo Scout Camp and Ragged Falls

There are invasive insects (Emerald Ash Borer) and diseases associated with bringing outside firewood into our camps that may harm our beautiful properties.

Please, only use the firewood found or provided at our camps. At Camp Nemo, see the Camp Factor for access to the Wood Shed. If you bring your own firewood into camp, please make sure it is purchased locally,  you know the source of the firewood and that it is insect free.

New (per Dec. 01st 2011 Scouters Dispatch): You may bring your own firewood to Camp, but it is to be used up on the weekend you are at Camp. If the wood you bring is not fully used up you must take it home with you at the end of the weekend.

New: As of January 1st 2011, there is now a charge payable to HICOP for firewood provided at Camp Nemo. $2.00 for a milk crate or $5.00 for a wheelbarrow. Take only what you will need, burn it all or return any excess to the Wood Shed via the Camp Factor.
