Preparations are well underway for Klondike 2018 and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoy the weekend of winter skills based around the Canadian Path.

COST
For the weekend: $15 per youth/scouter, includes camp site fee, and crest.
For the day: $10 per youth/scouter, includes camp fee and crest.
Please complete the registration form and email it or drop it off at Scout House by January 26, 2018.

A $25 deposit will confirm your campsite location.
Cheques can be made payable to 75th Group Committee.

Canadian Path Winter Skills
February 2 – 4, 2018
Camp Nemo
Cost: $15 per youth/scouter
Day Only: $10 per youth/scouter

EVENTS
All events will be based around the Canadian Path Winter Skills and the scouters will be provided with a breakdown of which portions of the badges were accomplished by the youth.
Scouts will be camping outdoors for the weekend. They will require to transport their Saturday lunch with them and prepare it on the trail. A sled or toboggan would be a good idea of transportation as the youth should be prepared for anything.
The events will be on a rotation basis and we ask that you provide the team with an accurate account of the number of youth attending.
We are still looking for additional events and help to run the events. Please indicate on the registration form if you have an event that you would like to run or if you are able to run an event.

EQUIPMENT
Each Scout should carry with them from event to event:
• Winter survival kit
• Water bottle/thermos with warm liquid or water
• Extra hats, gloves/mitts, socks
Each patrol should have:
• Toboggan or sled with rope/harness
• First aid kit
• Stove, pot, ladle and any additional equipment for making lunch
• Small tarp for events, covering the equipment etc.

EMEREGENCY
Apple Day lodge will be set up for first aid emergencies or as a warming shelter for anyone at any time, as well Harvester Lodge will be available for warming shelter.

FIRES
Fires are permitted in only either existing installed fire rings, or in raised fire drums/devices. There are to be no ground fires.

CAMPSITES
The following camping areas are reserved for Klondike:
Harvester Field: along the tree line
Event Field: located beside Harvester Field
Apple Day Field: 5 campsites
Please indicate your preference on the registration form.
