6. Bonus Commission for Groups that “Follow the Plan”
All groups that “Follow the Plan” will receive an additional 2% of their sales as a bonus commission. To “Follow the Plan” groups must:

Why “Follow the Plan”? Survey results from Trails-End show:
· Group popcorn kickoffs motivate youth.
· research shows that only 33% of groups set a goal.
· Groups that set a goal averaged $7980 vs $3840 for groups that did not set a goal.
· research shows only 42% of youth set a goal.
· youth who set a goal average $626 in sales vs $304 for youth who do not set a goal.
Each group will receive the following tools to help you “Follow the Plan”:
- the Popcorn Sale Guidebook shows how to set a group goal, set individual goals, and host a group kickoff
- train the youth before sending them out – role playing
- training material available on the website at scoutpopcorn.ca
- ensure parents & all leaders are involved in the group kickoff
- make it fun, a party. Be enthusiastic. Use posters, balloons, prizes. Have lots of popcorn
- Show & tell incentives/prizes. Distribute sales package to each adult/youth. Distribute more popcorn. Encourage section leaders to include popcorn themed activities into their program.
- use an order form mounted on cardboard with a script on reverse.
- keep & use last year's order forms as a start point for this year's sales.
- phone last year's customers.
- do a one day blitz plus a party afterward.
- provide Group coordinators with resources/ideas for a group kickoff.
- hold a surprise night as a group kickoff - take the youth somewhere special.
- use a grab bag of prizes each week to reinforce youth sales.
- offer group incentives to reward top sellers who achieve their goal
- encourage local businesses to use scout popcorn as Christmas thank you gifts to customers.
- contact successful groups in your area to see what they are doing to achieve success

9. Popcorn Warehouse: Mid-November (tentative Thur/Fri/Sat November 10/11/12, exact dates TBA): Council popcorn warehouse for all Areas & H-W groups, details TBA.
10. All groups are to submit a popcorn payment cheque (post-dated to Friday December 2, 2011) to your Area Coordinator when you pick up your main popcorn order and prize order.

11. Supplementary (late) orders: will be received at the Hamilton Help Desk and invoiced at a higher cost price to groups. Group commission on late sales is 30%. There is no entitlement to prizes or crests for supplementary orders.
12. Assistance: Any group or Area needing assistance with planning your group or Area popcorn campaign, please contact your Area popcorn coordinator or the Council popcorn team, as applicable. A brand new Scout Popcorn website is in the works to be released in late August.
$600 Sales Club
· Anyone who sells $600 will receive a “$600 Club” crest and a Zyclone. Entries online and verified through the Trails End order system.
· Also, every youth who sells $600 will be entered into a draw. Four youth members from across Canada will win a netbook in a draw.
· In addition, two youth members from Battlefields Council will win a Nintendo 3DS.
Top Sellers
· Each $1,500 seller will receive a $75 Gift Card from Wal-Mart. Entries online and verified through the Trails End order system.
· The top 10 selling youth in Canada will receive an 8Gb iPod Nano plus $25 iTunes gift card
· In addition, the top three selling youth in Canada will receive a bonus $250 Future Shop Gift Card.
Battlefields Council will award prizes to the three top youth sellers in the Council.
· 1st Prize – 2 night stay for family of 4 at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls
(or equivalent value $650 in gift cards or movie passes)
· 2nd Prize – season pass plus parking pass for a family of four at Canada’s Wonderland (or equivalent value $450 in movie passes or gift cards)
· 3rd Prize - $150 in gift cards or movie passes
$2,500 Scholarship Program
6% of gross sale credited to Scout’s Scholarship account for post High School Education, Missionary Fund, or Clergy Fund.
